Opening times and conditions


The House and Gardens of Claude Monet – Giverny are open every day:
From April 1st to November 1st, 2026 – From 10am to 6pm, last admission at 5.30pm

Recommended duration of visit: 1h30 to 2 hours (unguided visit)

  • Any exit from the site is final.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Picnic, painting, and drawing are not allowed.
  • Wedding photo shoots are not accepted.
  • No luggage storage available (Vigipirate plan – large luggage forbidden)

Accessibility – People with Reduced Mobility
Priority access upon presentation of a disabled card at the group entrance located on Sente Leroy.
The gardens are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The house is not wheelchair accessible.

Safety and anti-terrorism measures


At Claude Monet’s House and Gardens – Giverny, we have implemented the preventative measures required by the French government in order to ensure the safety of our visitors. Bags are systematically checked upon entry. We recommend that you do not bring large bags or suitcases. Only cabin-sized bags with a maximum size of 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm are permitted and must be carried in your hand or on your back. We appreciate your understanding when there are delays due to security checks at the entrances. For more information on what to do in the event of an attack, please refer to the instructions given on the French government’s website.
